For Emergencies, CALL 911
Priority 1 – Emergencies or disasters with immediate danger to life, property, or the environment. The need for Police, Fire, EMS services include: threats to life or limb, medical/health emergencies, and crime-in-progress.
For Urgent Need of A Police Officer, CALL Police Dispatch at 435-627-4300
Priority 2 – Non-emergency incidents/accidents. This includes: investigations, interviews, witness contacts, lost property, vehicle and building lockouts, police escorts, petty theft, graffiti, roadway/traffic/parking problems.
For Police Records, General Information & Services, CALL 435-652-7515
Priority 3 – General University information and services. This includes: police records, fingerprinting, notary, Utah criminal history checks, complaints, and US&RM Team assistance.
Directions and Parking
DIRECTIONS to UTPD:
225 S. 700 E., St. George, Utah 84770
Heading West on St. George Blvd turn left onto 700 East (University Ave).
Drive South on 700 East until you come to 300 South (Trailblazer Blvd).
Turn left on 300 South, then turn right into the large parking lot which is Parking Lot M.
Drive South into the parking lot, towards the Anthony Burns offices.
University Police is located in the northeast corner of the Anthony Burns offices.
For fingerprint services, if available, park in a parking stall marked University Police, otherwise park in a Visitor parking stall.
PARKING:
Utah Tech Police Department does not issue parking permits or issue citations. Please visit Parking Services’ Website for the following: Purchase Parking Permits, Visitor & Temporary Parking Passes, Parking and Campus Maps.

- Police Escort:
- If a student, staff, or faculty member feels unsafe walking alone on campus, an officer will respond to their location and escort them to their on-campus destination.
- Vehicle or Building Lockouts:
- In the event a student, staff, or faculty member is locked out of a campus building/room or their vehicle, an officer will assist in providing access once valid photo identification and authorization is produced.
- Vehicle Jumpstarts:
- In the event the vehicle of a student, staff, or faculty member will not start, an officer will respond to the campus location and attempt to jumpstart the vehicle.
