Hazing Reporting & Resources

About Hazing

The Stop Campus Hazing Act, enacted in December 2024, is a federal initiative designed to increase transparency, accountability, and prevention efforts surrounding hazing on college and university campuses. Hazing—whether physical, emotional, or psychological—poses serious risks to student safety, well-being, and academic success. This legislation requires institutions of higher education to publicly report incidents of hazing and to clearly outline the policies, resources, and procedures in place to prevent and address it. By ensuring that this information is easily accessible, the Act empowers students, families, and campus communities to make informed decisions and fosters a culture of safety and respect.
